The Georgia General Assembly passed a Transportation Bill this spring to provide much-needed funding for work on highways in the state. The bill will provide only a billion dollars a year, which is reported to be the bare minimum required to maintain the state’s transportation system as it is. It calls for an average 6¢per gallon rise in gas tax as well as a fee of $5 per night on hotel stays, and new annual fees on electric vehicles and heavy trucks. Do you support this bill?
