These kindergarten students take a break from work to smile for the newspaper photographer. We’re guessing this picture was taken in the 1970s. Do you recognize the teacher or any of these children? If you do, call Sherri at 423-9331 or send an e-mail.

Teresa Niday Clark, Cindy Leighton and Bonnie Foster all contacted us about last week’s puppeteers. They are members of the Northside Baptist puppet ministry from the 1980s. Pictured are Teresa Clark (kneeling in front), Diane Bellamy at center, and Cindy Posey Leighton, Lonnie Fletcher and Lisa Posey Fletcher. Bonnie directed the puppet ministry. Ted Lavender has identified two of the new teachers in the October 15 photo. The woman on the back row, at left, is Janie Jones, wife of form FHS head football coach Phil Jones. Eulalie Woeltjen is third from right on the same row, he says. He believes the teachers were at Fitzgerald Elementary because he doesn’t remember them teaching at Lynnwood, where he attended. He thinks the photo dates to the late 1970s.
