The Georgia Bulldogs trounced Auburn Saturday but on the way to victory lost running back Todd Gurley to an ACL injury for the remainder of the season. Do the Dawgs still have a chance to win the SEC East?

Before the Ramblin’ River Raft Race there was . . . this happy flotilla on the Ocmulgee River? Do you recognize any of these people or remember the occasion? If you do, call Sherri at 423-9331 or send an email.

Harold Boling, Bob Morrison, Wayne Young and John Puckett all contacted us about last week’s photo. Identified are Jack Boling of Western Auto, Judy Purdom of Hallmark, Janet Willingham of WBHB and Carl Findley of Halperin’s. Harold says the photo was taken in front of the Western Auto windows on East Pine — which he remembers well from having had to wash them often when he was a boy. Hybernia’s is reflected in the windows. The group are possibly the first officers of what was then called the Downtown Business Association and Harold believes the picture was taken in the mid to late 1970s, when the DBA was formed.
