- Senior Catfish Roundup — Seniors 60 and older can pull channel catfish out the stocked pond at Cloudland Canyon State Park near Rising Fawn Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. Anglers should bring their own rods, reels and bait. When the fishing ends, catfish will be cooked around a campfire.
- GATOR — Learn and explore the features of an alligator in this 5 p.m. presentation Saturday at Gordonia-Altamaha State Park near Reidsville.
- Confederate Encampment — Watch weaponry, drilling and marching demonstrations, then learn about uniforms, tents and equipment from the Civil War era Saturday and Sunday at Hart State Park near Hartwell. The encampment will end at noon on Sunday.
- Wildlife Watch — A park ranger will lead this 2.5-mile hike Saturday round the non-game trail at High Falls State Park near Jackson for an afternoon of wildlife watching. Hikers should bring binoculars and cameras.
